This is me now!!

So, I tried this a few years back. But back then I wasn't in the best of 'places' regarding my mind set.
This time I am here to record my thoughts and also handy tips and ways of leading a more natural and thrifty way of life.

A few years ago I talked my husband into trying for another baby and luckily for us, We now have our third son. he is now 8 months old.
I decided back then that I really wanted to give the whole 'natural mummy' thing a go. I decided I would be using cloth nappies this time round.
8 months down the road to using these nappies I am absolutely in love with them. I love the funky designs and patens. I love the way they look, the saving money aspect of it and of course I love the thought that I am being kinder to the environment.

So... I am now going to carry on my love of being kinder to the environment and try out some other ways of doing so, with also trying to save money along the way too. Being thrifty is also quite important to our family, we are in no way scrimping but with just one wage coming in and 3 little boys to feed and clothe saving money is a huge bonus to anyone!

So first of all I tried making my own laundry soap. I like to use the liquid kind. I'm not sure why, I think its just personal preference. Last week I tried out a recipe I found but added my own stance to it and well, for a first go it wasn't too bad, but not what I was expecting. I will defiantly be trying it again.
I also found a good recipe to make my own febreeze. which quite frankly I am in love with! I will be using that again and also sharing the recipe.

So watch this space.....
